Headaches Due To Eye Pain

Headaches Due To Eye Pain

Whatever the cause, headaches and eye pain can be debilitating, making it difficult, if not impossible, for a person to get through the normal routines of the day. If the occurrence happens only rarely then tension, noise, bright glaring lights, or something in the environment may be contributing to the cause. Also consider diet change like Non-GMO foods, no dairy, refined sugars, or processed foods. One of the most immediate responses is to take over-the-counter (OTC) pain relievers and then lie down, if possible. However these meds lead to kidney and liver disease. Even a half-hour of quiet, uninterrupted rest could help ease the symptoms. But it will not help with the cause of the problem. The cause of the problem could be a misalignment in the bones in your spine. This is where a chiropractor can help.

If headaches accompanied by eye pain or irritation persist in the workplace or commonly occur while accessing the Internet at home, it’s likely that frequent computer use can contribute to the cause. Sit back and keep your ears over your shoulders and pull our chin straight back. You might want to consult with an ophthalmologist, to see if there is a problem with their eyes the strength of your eye prescription. Then consult a chiropractor and they will do a full exam and x-rays if clinically necessary. They will also ask about your work place and give advice on the ergonomics, the way you are situated at work. The way you sit, where the computer is, how you talk on the phone or text, and help with proper nutrition and exercise. Facial and body exercises to relieve stress while working, adjusting the placement and brightness of the computer screen and using a more comfortable chair are all potential ways to help eliminate the suffering. But a chiropractor goes after the cause of the problem. Dental problems, such a decayed tooth, could also be responsible for the facial pain.

If these relatively minor conditions are not the cause, the headaches and eye pain might be the result of a sinus infection. Chiropractic can also help stimulate the immune system to help the sinus infection.

In addition to intense pain around the eyes and a hard, throbbing sensation in the head, general weakness and nausea may be accompanying symptoms. This could be a migraine headache. Then the patient’s daily life becomes one of existence, without quality. Chiropractic can help increase function and the quality of life.

Persistent pain can neither be ignored nor self-treated. By the time you get pain you have had the problem for awhile. A chiropractic physician can assess a person’s lifestyle, conduct appropriate examinations and order any desired diagnostic tests to help diagnose the source of the headache and eye pain.
