Massage Therapy

Massage Therapy

Chiropractic goes literally hand in hand with massage. Massage is the manipulation of the soft tissues of the body for therapeutic purposes. It involves a system of strokes that includes gliding, kneading, friction, pressure, tapping and vibration. In our office, in addition to the chiropractic adjustment, the chiropractor may engage muscle work with active and passive movements of the joints, apply heat and cold in various forms, and instruct clients on exercises to achieve improved muscle tone and circulation.

Massage therapy melts away stress and tension and works with chiropractic in relieving headaches, neck pain, back pain and muscle tightness. Dr. Gentle is also licensed in massage therapy and incorporates massage with Chiropractic. She feels it is important to loosen the muscles before you are adjusted. There is a licensed massage therapist on staff to assist Dr. Gentle. The massage therapist has a private and comfortable room so you can relax. Massage aids in the healing process from injury or over-use and is an excellent form of preventive healthcare. The purpose is to develop, maintain, rehabilitate and enhance physical function. Massage works with along chiropractic, and is usually covered by insurance. Please call or email us for benefits and insurance verification.
